Harry's talk is more about the DAL component itself - everyone is buried working on new HW support right now so I expect we'll get back to upstreaming in a month or two.

Maybe that is some sort of curse, because you are trying to write less then you know

I'd rather more focus be spent on finishing off the Mesa OpenGL features so maybe, just maybe we can finally run Dying Light on the free software stack, hopefully with much better performance than AMDGPU Pro (which is basically unplayable even on a Fury X).

Having said that, I am looking forward to FreeSync. I would imagine more people with a new dGPU would be more likely to be wanting to use FreeSync than audio over HDMI (which most monitors will only output as analog stereo at best).

What does Dying Light still need to run? OpenGL 4.5 core support is virtually complete at this point.
