AMDGPU driver, Ubuntu 16.04 and kernels

With the AMDGPU-PRO you get amdgpu dkms too - without AMDGPU PRO you would need much newer LLVM and mesa. Btw. i only mirrored the package from SteamOS, just with a tiny modification that allows uninstallation without having fglrx installed. So why would you need a new kernel for amdgpu only?

I've just installed amdgpu-pro 16.6 on my ubuntu 16.04 (dell notebook hybrid gpu Intel 5500HD + amd r7m265).
After reboot, when I enter my password on the login screen, the screen comes back again and I'm not able to login anymore.
Uninstalled amdgpu-pro.
