    Do you know a work around? I'm having issues getting CompanyOfHeroes2 working and this seems like it could be the problem? no cheat command method of resolving this until a patch (yes I contacted Feral about this also, with dump files and such).

      Would I just need to remove the .13439 from that file? so it reports as 4.5? if its that simple I will try that out. I have never edited SO library files before so I will look into this. (no idea howto even edit so files. shrug. Can you provide me with yours? is that possible?)

          better support for gcn 1.1 you have to use dkms source from steamos amdgpu 16.30.1

          I don't have any issues hawaii r9 290 with newer build

            I'm having trouble with gdm and gnome 3 here with amdgpu-pro as well. No problem, just emerged mate and lightdm .

                But it's using the open driver? Is that right?

                - /lib/modules/4.6.0-gentoo/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu is empty -- I think Lucretia's ebuild actually moves the files when amdgpu-pro is installed.

                EDIT:
                "modprobe ./amdgpu.ko" specifically responds with "modprobe: FATAL: Module ./amdgpu.ko not found in directory /lib/modules/4.6.0-gentoo"

                  I did build with dkms. dkms add, dkms build, dkms install. I did reboot and I disabled the display manager from startup.

                    Hmm, no luck here. Still getting the "(EE) AMDGPU(0): Failed to open amdgpu hybrid version"

                    The primary result is I can't open any games unless I set my opengl and opencl back to xorg-x11 and mesa. So I'm really confused as to how it's using the mesa stack. Perhaps I need to remove xf86-video-amdgpu as well?

                    Sigh, I wouldn't be bothering if it wasn't for the opencl and vulkan support.

                      As expected not workin with HD4400/R7 m260 combo. What a bad combination of hardware Haswell stuck with Opengl 3.3 and no support for Topaz with closed or open drivers.
