  • Does radeon support 2x4k through 1x HDM-1.4 + 2xDisplayPort?

    Hi there,

Does anybody have experience using the open-source radeon driver to drive a 4k display connected via 2x-Displayport-1.2?
As the system is ARMv8 based, the proprietary driver is no option.

    Thanks, Clemens

What asic are you using? What do you mean by 2x-Displayport-1.2? Do you mean MST or just two DP 1.2 monitors directly connected?

      Hi,

We would like to use a Tobago Pro (R7 360, GCN 1.1) in the following configuration:
      1st monitor: HDMI 1.4a (4k)
      2nd monitor: 2x DVI dual-link (4k)

sorry for the confusion regarding DisplayPort, we've now decided to use DVI dual-link instead.

Kernel is fixed to 4.1.8, for userspace we can use whatever we would like (even latest mesa + xorg).

      Best regards, Clemens

That hardware only support 4K@30Hz on HDMI. For 4K@60 you'll have to use DP. What do you mean by 2x DVI dual-link?

Perfect - 30Hz are fine, thanks a lot for the confirmation
