      Using the environment variables MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.3 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=430 .

GL4.3 is not enabled by default as some games do things differently when it is present and there are still bugs in mesa when those things are done differently. So some games that work now with GL4.2 would stop working when we enable 4.3.

That looks awesome, too bad I finished playing SOM last week, I would have greatly appreciated a boost there

So I just applied these patches on top of latest LLVM head as of yesterday and mesa master as of yesterday on my pitcairn (7850 1GB) on kernel 4.6.0rc5 with a Phenom II x6 1055T.

When running pts/unigine-heaven at 800x600 (windowed):
            Before: 34.83fps
            After: 55.86fps

            1920x1200 (fullscreen):
            Before: 18.50fps
            After: 23.73fps

            Nice improvements

Did you see any visual difference before and after the patch?
              If not, that's quite nice!

Not sure. I was running the tests remotely via SSH with my display set manually via environment variables. I walked into the office and double-checked the monitor once to make sure that tessellation was indeed enabled, but otherwise wasn't sitting watching the tests actively the entire time... The spouse chuckles at me any time that I do that.

That being said, tessellation appeared to be working, and I didn't notice any obvious visual artifacts.

                  Hi,

                  I tested on a hawaii_290
Great improvements but there were a lot of visual artifacts too

On verde (HD 7770) Lara looks the same with or without the patch but run faster.

                      Tesselation off:
                      42/60/52.
                      Tesselation on with 11.3-devel :
                      13/26/21.
                      Tesselation on with 11.3+tess patchset:
                      30/50/42.
                      Tesselation on with Crimson15.12:
                      27/44/36.

It works really good for me, thnx BNieuwenhuizen
