Well, I don't have any inside info, but I doubt it'll ready in time for mesa 11. I'm sure it'll be soon, but I'm not sure it'll be in time for 11.

No. Somebody has to finish off the fp64 and tessellation support for Evergreen and NI, and I doubt it will be done by AMD employees anytime soon given all the other stuff on their plates right now.

So if you want to see it, find a contributor to start hacking on it.

Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor is out now for Linux.A Feral Interactive employee says it need OpenGL4.3 to render properly.

So the list of games with steep OpenGL4 requirements is only getting bigger.

I like those warnings, it sounds like something everybody will play

AMD and Intel GPUs are not supported at this time.

r600 was ahead of radeonsi until very recently, maybe a week ago ?

I'm not aware of a perfect driver.
Perhaps you should let nvidia know they should just give up, as well?

Hopefully they will get a little more stable soon. Is there another thing to update beside LLVM 3.7+ & Mesa? I have a 4.1.3 Kernel and a Radeon 7970HD.
                From my test:
                * Unigne Heaven : Insta-crash : Video card try to recover but fail. Place supossed to be "tessellated" are transparent, like in the mesa released two day after tessellation was made available (but them, it was not crashing).
                * X-Plane 10 : No more artefact, perfect image and no need to run with --no_fbo anymore but : crash after about 5 minutes of use, same than Unigne.
                * FlightGear "3.6" : work fine like before, no difference, no crash.

                Here the log:

So did anybody try Metro Redux or Bioshock on the radeonsi driver? They are both on sale right now on Steam, but I don't want to get them if they don't work yet.

I tried metro redux a month ago when the patches were still WIP. Worked well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crQ1nIvl47c
But performance was mixed. Might be because pitcairn (and some tahiti) performance is very subpar in some games compared to other amd gpu generations, it's probably an oversight/bug.
Bioshock Infinite still needs a WIP patch. I have heard it works on nouveau but not on radeonsi, but I just bought bioshock and will be testing it later.

RavFX, you can try kernel 4.2RC4. Unigine Heaven is working with tessellation in my R9 290. Remember that you need all Mesa related stuff to be up to date (if you use Ubuntu you can try the Oibaf PPA). I too got transparent stuff in Heaven when the patches started to arrive in Mesa. But now is ok. Slow but ok.

Anyone got mesa to advertise OpenGL4.0 using Oibaf PPA? My setup is Kubuntu 14.04 64bits + Oibaf PPA + kernel 4.2RC4.
