I am still searching for an early gcn source engine benchmark, where it worked - can someone fine one?

    there we have it http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...on_12nov&num=3
same frame rate half a year ago in TF2 but with 1600p instead of 1080p for the HD7950 - thats a hell of a regression!
The longer I think about it...what the cause of this regression might be, the more possibilities open up:
    - did the TF2 benchmark change - TF2 is constantly updated - maybe an engine update?
    - does radeonSI render something better / more features (e.g. AntiAliasing?)
    - is the game cpu-bottle-necked and did it (the same was used) now in the warmer server farm throttle earlier?
    - do we have a real regression of radeonSI
    - ...

    we will never know...

TF2 has no new engine, only Dota 2 Reborn Beta. CS:GO is most likely a bit different from all other Source engine based games as the binary name is not hl2_linux but csgo_linux.

This is probably a driver problem. Tahiti never performed well on radeonsi, whereas the other silicons do much better. The 7950 is a Tahiti PRO part with 28 CUs (GCN 1.0) and should perform right in between the R9 290 (Hawaii PRO, GCN 1.1, 40 CUs) and the R7 370 (Pitcairn PRO, GNC 1.0, 16 CUs), but in the tests it only matches the smaller Pitcairn.

I think your problem there is actually PRIME and not the driver. Your GPU should run great on radeonsi. Try with vblank_mode=0.

I can confirm that there is flickering and corruptions in CSGO with radeonsi (mine is also a pitcairn card, r9 270) and I get almost the same framerate with radeonsi and this card as with my old 5770 (juniper with r600g) which didn't have any corruptions and flickering. There's definitely a lot of stuff left to do on radeonsi.

And I don't. gstreamer's ximagesrc doesn't want to record windows for whatever reason, so I recorded a match with ffcast. Massive performance loss, but who cares. Here is an image of one of the glitches:

Does this look like it is caused by PRIME?

Edit2: I made a new video how playing csgo on lowest settings looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLeA3eqW8z8
And here are a few frames from the video that show the graphical corruption: https://imgur.com/a/fhpm1
