yes, I was talking about 3440x1440 (@ 60 Hz).

According to the data sheet from the amd site:

(page 10/12, this should be Kaverie I assume)

it cannot via DP and not at 60 Hz at all.

3440x1440 is not really mentioned but about 20% over 2560x1600 - hence my question about real life experience.
For sure ~700€ ? for the monitor are just too much to test it myself. :-)

I *think* that's referring to DP MST, not "vanilla" DP (at least that's what the placement of the text suggests), but not 100% sure either.

Agree it looks like Kaveri.

Well, a bit off topic - but to be fair:

ZaphodHeads seems to be fixed on radeonSI, Kaveri A10-7850K.

Arch linux 64bit: mesa 10.6.3 , xf86-video-ati 1:7.5.0-2 and what ever matters...

Well, so far fluxbox does well, xfce4 and mate-gtk3 not so. But this is the fun, I'll see, need more time with them...

Gives me leave to sit back and see how 4k, 3840x2160 32", displays are coming down in price a bit... (I've switched focus on the next display.)
