We have access to the hardware, the problem is hawaii support is not a priority at the moment. We don't have any business cases right now where accelerated open source hawaii is a priority.

Yes, of course internal developers have access to the hardware they're developing for.
This is a shame, I'm still waiting to be able to use the foss driver for my new 290. It's such a nice desktop experience compared to catalyst.

Surely the problem is not as simple as lack of hardware to test. Even if they had lack of hardware, they could ask for volunteers to give them remote access or simply post logs and try out patches (even better if they compile packages for the tester's distro so the tester doesn't have to learn how to compile their software).

AMD needs to step it up a bit with the support of new/hi-end cards.

Even nouveau devs doing reing faster Last month has been issues with firmwares, maybe again firmwares are culprit... but who knows that .

At least card is supported by fglrx, so users are not leaved with nothing .
