    - My GPU can use up to 155W. Why the sw has a maximum of 115 W ?
    - If I set something it will be stored even after reboot?
    - It does need a kernel parameter. This will be true for all Overdrive overclocking with the driver.
    - The utility lets you increase/decrease the default power limit, within the limits specified by your card's vbios (usually +/- 20-50% depending on the card).
    - There is an option to restore settings at login.

    • If it shows 115 watt then that is the maximum for sure?

      • If you set the power limit at that the the card will try to stay within that max, throttling if necessary.

        • Dam its HOT !!

What temperature is it for the Vega 56 ? The hotspost or the GPU ?

Under Windows i am at 73°C on the GPU, and under Linux 86°C ! Why ?

Does your fan spin faster on Windows?

            • I think no, fan speed looks the same.
edit: well in fact fan speed is faster, as the card is really hot.

              • Well i made some testing, it looks like the voltages are not applicated !

                • I've just found this

So it looks like i am not alone.

                  • Will this tool allow me to underclock the core clock and memory clock? The post below from 2 years ago was the only one I found that mentioned underclocking, but it looks like it isn't straightforward, and the post was never answered anyway. I don't know how much the tool has changed since then.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

                    thanks for this interesting tools.

I try to use it to UNDERclock the GPU.

In "radeon_profile.ui" I found where the slider for GPU % Oc is set :

but there is not "minimum" setup.

                    So there is 2 questions.

Q1 : does the method " void any_class::setOverclockValue(const QString &file, const int percentage) " work with negative percentage ?
this can be expected as "const int percentage" technically allow negatives integers.

Q2 : is there any way we/you can add a "minimum" property for the OC slider so we can use it to underclock the GPU ?

                    best regards,

                    Samuel

                    • Excuse the noob question, but how do I get to install the latest version? I can compile everything w/o errors, but the old installation guide here no longer works for me since I cant get gksu.
