ah well.... any hacks to get firegl-support? I kinda knew it, but had to try anyhow. would really like to give my mobility v5200 a run for the money. Kano?

kinda weird that the devices that gave name to the driver are shunned.

      Mmm, she's working on my Gateway MT6451 w/ ATI IGP 485 (X200M / X1150).

      I'm so happy...

I wish I brought my lappy to work today. I am reservedly optimistic about this release. But finally getting away from the vesa driver I've been using for the past week will be great.

          Okay, first results:
Renaming the old ebuild (8.40.7) is enough (you have to rename the corresponding patches folder inside files/, too), the driver works with xorg 7.3 (xorg-server 1.4) and with kernel 2.6.23 (using the patches). I am running on x86, so amd64 users might have problems with the patch.

              RPM build errors:
File not found by glob: /tmp/ATI-fglrx-8.42.3-1-22698-aljosa/tmp/ATI-fglrx-8.42.3-1.f7-root-aljosa/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/*
              Removing temporary directory: fglrx-install.D22622

What should I do to build it on Fedora 7 x64?

How long before it shows up in the Ubuntu repository?
