Well, when it comes to performance, here are my Xorg.conf options:
    Option "ColorTiling" "true"
    Option "SwapbuffersWait" "off"
    Option "EnablePageFlip" "on"
Though I do agree a proper performance guide would be nice.

FWIW, I'm completely satisfied with the current feature level.

It's power management and performance I personally find lacking - in recent tests, the low-end cards were 2x-5x lower perf vs catalyst.

I dream of the day that bridgman will anounce in the forums that they will release the PM or an article by Michael confirming this.

hey already did and michael did too not 2 months ago but it missed the 3.6 timeframe so will probably land in 3.7 series or 3.8 if some bug is found.

use the article search and read the article since it will fix many issues with pm

Please don't be waiting for us to "release PM". There's a lot of PM info out there already, enough to make major improvements in the existing code.

Am i supposed to read this as "We reviewd the code and we can't release it" ???

Correct. Still working on it though.

Again, there's a lot of PM info out there now. This is just a couple of additional blocks.

PM seems to be an exception to the rest of the driver stack -- everyone seems to want it but hardly anyone seems to be willing to work on it. For most of the other bits it seems that every N'th user is willing to roll up their sleeves and make the code better but it's not happening here.

I have no idea TBH. And i can't think of anything else right now after the day long struggle with my motherboard which still refuses to work as designed.

Anyway. Don't mind me. I just had high hopes for that.
