My personal changes:

No Mouse Freeze bug.
No Gnome-Shell support.

AMD has finally finished re-branding ATI marks to AMD four years after they acquired the company. This re-branding includes renaming the "aticonfig" utility to "amdconfig", but there is a symbolic link between the two so that nothing is broken. There's also ATI reference changes within the installer and AMD Catalyst Control Center Linux Edition (AMDCCCLE).

no crashes noticed, working solid.
games like minecraft and HoN work perfectly aswell.

It works with Mandriva 2010.2

Except for a minor glitch in the .spec file. I fixed that by doing:

sh ati-driver-installer-11-8-x86.x86_64.run --keep --buildpkg Mandriva/2010.2

Then in the resulting subdirectory, I found "fglrx.spec" and removed the offending lines (they were around 250 or so).

I then did ati-installer.sh 11.8 --buildpkg Mandriva/2010.2

and the RPMS were all built. I then

sudo service dm stop

sudo rmmod fglrx

sudo rpm -Fvh *.rpm (in the directory with the RPMS)

sudo service dm start

Everything came up and ran fine, Unigine Heaven, google-earth (which didn't work with 11.7)

amdcccle showed everything was 11.8 and up to date.

maybe tomorrow ?

maybe an UVD-light spec ? or an h264 shader based decoder?

or info about the hd8000 series with full 100% spec for opensource driver based hardware ?

Probably something related to OpenCL.

I mean that the mouse bug is fixed but the gnome is still in fallback mode.
