    Red Hat's David Airlie, on the behalf of AMD, pushed out the xf86-video-ati 6.14.2 driver last night...

    Ah nice to see. Currently emerging. Gentoo tree was fast this time to add it.
    Stop TCPA, stupid software patents and corrupt politicians!

      I didn't realise I was doing it on the behalf of AMD. its nice to know phoronix knows more about my motivations than I do.

          What is requirements for this to work ?

          6970 + ubuntu 11.04 + 2.6.29 kernel from ppa + xorg-edgers ppa (ati ddx driver and mesa from 27/05 git)

          running xserver results in distorted screen, where i can see part of ubuntu bootup picture, then in few secs, black screen, then that pic, than black screen and so on. Looks like framebuffer gone all wrong.

          tried removing r600_dri.so - same

          have to use noaccel flag now
