    The wording of the article made me believe that a feature
    was added to R600g that somehow wasn't available on R300g.

    I'm just saying that r300 generation was first left in the dust by Catalyst,
    so that it could be left in the dust by xf86-video-ati afterwards. But r300
    r600 split was not a surprise for me, because i expected it. Call it a hunch.

    AF just should be activated by default.

    if someone want ugly graphic he can turn it of by hand.
