I'd just report a bug if it doesn't work with r600c. Is the same bug reproducible in the Penumbra demos?

Intriguing. Works just fine here with colortiling with git r600c, git libdrm, git ati ddx, kernel 2.6.36-rc3 + drm-testing as far as 95347871865ca5093c7e87a223274f7c3b5eccda (rv670).

Care to double-check glxinfo that you're actually using r600c? If you are, there's still the possibility that me compiling Mesa and ddx ati with clang instead of gcc could have had a difference.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but does colortiling boost the performance of compositing also?
