He doesn't spread false information. From what I've observed, the info provided by him has been spot on most of the time. Yes, he's an excitable character, and excitable characters say lots of things that may seem as hype to others. He has his own personal opinions and they change from time to time...

Without him this forum would be a lot more quiet, and less active.

So let's move on and stop with this pointless character assassinations and discuss topics related to this forum.

mmm if they fixed the kernel issues and "added" xvba to the 5xxx series and all the good stuff in previous post, anyone knows what will stop working until next release? dunno like compiz burn your gpu chip, or xvba crash so badly that your bios set magically on fire inside your case or like a errrm crossfire screwed once again, low gl performance, etc.

i ask cuz every major release that brings something important generally screwed other thing equally important that was already working before, jaja it almost seems a tactic to keep some balance so you never get too happy and get injured or something

the 10-6 win opengl performace was even slower than on linux. as you could forget xvba with hd 5 cards maybe vlc 1.1.1 will work with win at least with 10-7. but ati employees do not watch movies on pc as they know it looks like crap

You say that like it's a bad thing. Without Qaridarium, there would be less noise and more signal...

No ATI employee is actually using XvBA, or they would commit suicide. And since there is not enough Linux devs already...

Lets hope AMD radiate a working device driver soon.
