    Yeah, those days are gone. If you want cheap - save your money and try to find a decent used gpu - it's a pita and hassle but that's your only choice if you want cheap and a decent gpu - the gpu companies are a duopoly (I don't 'count' Intel yet) - or even monopoly - depends on perception - but, they're all really expensive now for anything even half decent.

    For now RX 7700 XT is the right move.
    This card is crap. Here, this gpu costs $400-$500! That's outrageous. In my country, you can find 3070s for the same price. Or a used 6800 XT or 3080 for a little more - $500 ish. AMD is supposedly chosen because of price and Linux support. What a joke!

    you are right they are a absolute minority but you know the loudest miniorty because all the techyoutuber use this feature and they spread their word the loudest.

    as you correctly say for a normal gamer this feature is irrelevant.
