They can advertise it, but it will never work. Just look at OpenCL.
I am on radeonsi, and my desktop is flickering a lot, depending of the colour of the background..
with black background there are no flickering, but with I have played with lots of colours and its a mess..
Is there any kernel parameter that we can pass to solve this?
other than that , yes I start with big letters on boot, but that is temporary, flickering is permanent when using the desktop ..
I suspect it is not honouring the 60Hz refresh frequency..

I believe amd's driver stack didn't know how to deal with FALD and Oled backlights, hence why there are no freesync-premium-pro monitors with anything more than small-number edge-lit backlights.

Now if only that feature was available on their dedicated graphics cards...

Does any one know if VG is actually in the wild yet beyond a few steam decks that youtubers got to fondle?

I hope they can make those Van Gogh APUs work right. I was looking on the internet and they produce very bad quality graphics:

I haven't gotten around to logging a bug for it. I recently got a 6700 XT, after buying a 5120x1440 UltraWide curved screen, and it only happens when running the screen at that resolution. If I split the screen into two, treating it as two separate screens, the issue doesn't show up.

I need to gather the energy to log a bug.
