That github issue was just closed without resolution and little feedback, which is a little worrisome. With the flux in leadership at AMD, it's at least possible they are just committing to gaming moving forwards and leaving compute to nvidia.

It also strikes me as worrisome that the top few closed-without-resolution issues have an order of magnitude more comments than the top open issues. Seems like that team could use some manpower.
