  • is the config_drm_amd_dc kernel option necessary for my card?

    i not undestand well if that option is usefull for my rx470 artic islands( polaris) graphics card
    i think is not for my architecture but i need help to active or not

    You need DC for fully featured display support (audio, DP MST, etc.).

        CONFIG_DRM_AMD_DC is all that is required, but your best bet is to enable both CONFIG_DRM_AMD_DC and CONFIG_DRM_AMD_DC_DCN so that the driver will work with other chips as well.

            DSC is for sending compressed data streams over DP to save bandwidth. Your GPU doesn't support it, but new ones do.
