We could potentially hear about Arcturus later this month at Hot Chips during a keynote by AMD CEO Lisa Su.

Let us look at Hot chips agenda
A Symposium on High Performance Chips

    Monday, 8/19/2019: Conference Day 1

    • 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Registration / Breakfast (sponsored by Intel)
    • 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Break (sponsored by Intel)
    • 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM: Lunch (sponsored by Intel)
    • 1:45 PM – 2:45 PM: Keynote 1: “Delivering the Future of High-Performance Computing with System, Software and Silicon Co-Optimization” by Dr. Lisa Su, CEO, AMD
    • 4:15 PM – 4:45 PM: Break (sponsored by Intel)
    • 6:45 PM – 7:45 PM: Reception (Wine & Snacks sponsored by Intel)
    Tuesday, 8/20/2019: Conference Day 2

    • 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Registration / Breakfast (sponsored by Intel)
    • 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Break (sponsored by Intel)
    • 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM: Lunch (sponsored by Intel)
    • 3:45 PM – 4:15 PM: Break (sponsored by Intel)

It looks like Intel does not understand silicon hot chips and name Hot chips understands as
    Spicy potato chips.

Looks like Intel single handedly keeps the whole semiconductor industry from starving.

Only sponsoring food the days TSMC and AMD is presenting. Does Intel have their own special sauce? Conspiracy!

or they do something like they do at their campus

          Thu 28 Jan 2016 22.25 GMT

At Intel’s corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, California, the highly paid engineers and developers directly employed by the computer chip company wear blue identification badges.

Janitors, electricians, gardeners, security guards and cafeteria workers employed by various subcontractors wear green badges.

It’s an important distinction for Nahima Aguiniga, 34, who works as a cashier and dishwasher at a cafe on the Intel campus. Blue badges get free coffee, soda and fruit; green badges have to pay.

Despite the tech boom, cafeteria staff, security workers and bus drivers have told US labor secretary Thomas Perez they feel like ‘second-class citizens’

Maybe people going to AMD keynote will become "green badges"

"Alpha children wear grey They work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm really awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able…"
            Yeah, fuck you Gammas.

Do you know Intel logotype color and AMD logotype color ?

Why there are such colors of badges?

Blue, green, and pretending to be Saturn.

To show a difference between the classes within the company...no other reason for different badge colors...

Doesn't change that the Intel Alphas gets better hookups than Intel Gammas; like it was straight from the book.

These books were not intended to be instruction manuals.

Intel distinguishes between Engineers and other staff for free food? No wonder Apple and before that NeXT have such a low attrition rate. Steve never categorized people about what they get for free in the form of `perks.'

I don't think we have colour-coded badges at AMD, but as long as you're talking about Alphas we did colour-code the carpets in the Markham office. The upper 3 floors were Red, Green and Blue respectively, but there was some debate about what colour the ground floor (Alpha) carpets should be. They ended up as grey, which I guess was predictable.

We avoid the free food discrimination problem by not having free food
