Phoronix: Another Look At The Maturing AMD Radeon RX 5700 Series Linux Performance

With the AMD Radeon RX 5700 / RX 5700 XT Linux driver support maturing and the early optimizations/fixes and lingering feature work now calming down for the Linux 5.3 kernel and within RadeonSI/RADV for the imminent branching of Mesa 19.2, here is another look at how the Navi performance stands today compared to AMD Vega graphics cards and the high-end NVIDIA Pascal and Turing graphics cards.

      Thanks for the review.

Michael would it be possible to show 1% or 0.1% lows instead of minimum FPS in these reviews ?

Frametime graph would be the superior thing to show...

Yes, you are right, but they tend to clutter up badly when comparing mulitple GPUs.

Why no comparison for the same settings vs. the previous version?

I didn't expect such a good performance this close after release. Really nice to see these numbers.

Wow, really stiff competition from AMD on Linux! Now if only they'd fix several bugs and ensure proper feature support (overclocking, power, temp and fan info properly revealed) then they could seriously take over the Linux gaming market.

Hmm, just goes to show that AMD still has allot of work to be done with Vulkan drivers, quite surprised NVIDIA has managed to capitalise on vulkan performance advantages soon. At least AMD is doing fantastic with OpenGL, lol, at its end of life that is....
