The only issue so far is the listing of device hardware through its own built-in device, and thought it a bit odd despite the fact I'm playing full 3D games I never expected to run, let alone nicely. I'm not using it for gaming, but everything does seem to be in pretty good shape.

Longshot, but trying my luck, anyone using a Gigabyte AORUS >>I<< Pro Wifi mini-itx board? B450 chipset. I'm having virtually no dramas with it (and 2200G CPU), but under Manjaro, lists virtually nothing in detail in MHWD graphic utility and even goes so far as to say my rig is running a VESA video driver. Despite running most games acceptably well (Even Conan Exiles ran fine, without the Battle-Eye, and that's saying something for FunCom), it's been a pretty damn smooth experience.

I don't see any tpm errors in my dmesg output. I haven't seen any freezes and have never had to apply any workarounds on this board.

In the case of the programs with OEM Linux preloads, we worked with the distros and OEMs to try and get the patches into the distros for launch while we reworked the patches for upstream.
From what I can tell, the patch author stopped working on the patch completely after a few revisions, and another community member had to pick it up to transform it into an upstreamable state.

Meanwhile, Ubuntu continues to carry a really old version of the patch which has problems with certain laptops like the Lenovo Yoga 530-14ARR, where it is not working every other boot. They did not bother to update their patch to later revisions at all.

Interesting, if you don't mind I have a few questions:

Ok, thanks, I will keep that in mind.

could share some experience. If this is not possible, I would be glad if you could point as to a third party website with some information about this topic.

Moreover, does "sbios" mean the (normal) system BIOS, or something else?

Sorry, but I didn't ask about general impressions of motherboard companies. I asked for Linux compatibility and "the best" or at least "better than others" BIOS support, ACPI tables, etc. Any experience is welcome, and I would be more than happy if agd5f ...
