yep, the open AMD/Radeon driver is amazing, now I only need to track the next days, why Vulkan does not display the rendering result via PRIME hybrid graphics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JN6bYeVfsA

      Hi Rene,

I am not sure if you managed to read all the comments on the other topic regarding to vulkan, the GPU selection is different: https://www.phoronix.com/forums/foru...ga-m-gpu/page2

Also for uncapping FPS on glxgears, vblank_mode=0 is required.

yes, I did not want to misuse glxgear as a benchmark ;-) Thanks for the GPU selection note, but the Vulkan should also work with PRIME and not produce a black window.

Unlike OpenGL, the vulkan API exposes all GPUs in the system to the application so it can decide how to wants to use them. As such there's not really a clean way to implement something like prime support and still expose all GPUs properly to the application.

this means that some (or all?) Vulkan applications may currently not output the resulting rendering in all PRIME situations? I was hoping this commit would address this? https://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/commit/?id=f695735ed61ea2f11f0fdf032a8ad2c99b6b064c
