Firefox video acceleration safe with amdgpu?

Hi there,

is it safe to use media.hardware-video-decoding.force-enabled set to true in Firefox 60.4 with amdgpu?

I read somewhere, people had frozen machines with forcing Firefox acceleration, though they may have used layers.acceleration.force-enabled which is a different thing I guess?
