    On Friday AMD's Alex Deucher sent in the latest batch of feature to work DRM-Next ahead of the Linux 4.21 cycle. This mostly included AMDGPU/AMDKFD driver updates but also a lone Radeon DRM driver fix to avoid a possible 32-bit overflow and also DRM scheduler and TTM memory management fixes...

      Vulkan, OpenGL, OpenCL (via ROCm) and now Freesync. Everything is awesome (for my desktop). Looking forward to using the same stack on my laptop (Vega 8)

      Does anyone know where Vega12 is used? The only parts I know are below Vega11 (2400G APU) and above Vega16 (apparently found in 2018 MacBook Pro)

        AFAIK Vega 16 is the "retail" name. Both Vega 16 and Vega 20 use Vega12 as codename, at least that's what the techpowerup database says.

            Probably mobile or replacement for fake VegaM which was actually Polaris

            With 20 CUs it is not an APU for sure

              Any ETA on ROCM packages in the official Arch repositories? It is not even mentioned in the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GPGPU#AMD/ATI

              I can't wait to use blender with it, but I would prefer not to have to compile it myself (I might just do that this evening, though, if I have some time).

              Likewise, I wonder the same for Intel's "Neo" runtime, which apparently depends on a number of changes being upstreamed into llvm & co?

                  "Notably absent" are currently all kinds of fixes to the long-standing crash bugs that turn amdgpu into an uptime-killer.
                  This week, crashes became even more frequent. Even with the somewhat helping manual power-management being enabled, the drm-next kernel is down to mere hours of normal activity in between crashing the system.
