    I don't have one of these cards but I have a friend who has had success with improving performance with the stock cooler by undervolting and underclocking the memory for games that are thermal throttling. Frame rates rise from the high 20's to low 40's in some cases. His card thermal throttles at 80C.

      Yep. So, definitely don't do that.

      There's a program whose name I can't remember that lets you edit the powerplay tables to allow you to underclock. OhGodATool I think? Something like that.
