Now there is about 100 patches missing from the https://cgit.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/...-next-4.17-wip kernel. This and previous amdgpu news patches. AMD, if you want better software quality, put patches to this kernel. Nobody uses mailing list to make a kernel.

What patches? It has all of the patches that were committed as of Friday afternoon. Hardly out of date.

Does AMDGPU work (yet?) for ultrawide resolutions?

I am on Fedora and for some reason the display at 2560x1080p is garbled so I am stuck at 1080p:

Complaining about the lack of bitstreaming high-def audio is fairly petty IMO. How many use cases are there for this? I would argue there are far more pressing issues than the twelve people who want to use Linux to play Blu Rays in a barely functional manner connected to a receiver.
