Sure, but it will be just a symlink to Zink for any hardware that supports vulkan

Nvidia is transitioning from complete ignorance to pretending to care. I am just watching unimpressed.

It's satisfying to see one of my reasons for sticking to X11 (the ad-hoc, incomplete nature of replacing xdotool and wmctrl) showing up in a Wayland pain points slide from a big company.

Did you try ydotool or wtype? https://github.com/atx/wtype
            Potentially also https://git.sr.ht/~brocellous/wlrctl

For some hardware sure, other hardware not.

They don't have any interest in doing the right thing.

I do not see a end to native GL drivers yet. Zink is like llvmpipe a good stop gap but still way too slow to make a proper GL driver unreasonable.

I agree with them. Opengl should be dropped and its usage should be a compatibility mode made through zink nowadays.
Vulkan is like 10 years old, time to move on !!
For the 1 percent who will complain and say we can’t transition because Vulkan is not supported by THEIR hardware. The problem is not Vulkan, the problem is you.
