    there isn't much of a need to upgrade at this time.
    Well, of course there isn't. Who's even expecting NVIDIA to put a worthy upgrade anyway?

    It works, it's just not very good in practice (to put it very mildly).
    Only thing that isn't accelerated these days is X11 EGL backends in XWayland. I wonder what's the status about that.

    Hm, I think I've been hit by that bug. I minimized some windows and they never came back. Didn't see any error message, I thought it was just Plasma refusing to bring the windows back.
