      Nvidia provides drivers for Windows, Linux and FreeBSD. And even of Linux on ARM. Can you elaborate what exactly makes them "Windows drivers"?

          who gives a fuck about linux interfaces? people don't buy nvidia graphics cards on Linux for that. if you need a gpu with drivers that support "linux interfaces" you're free to get any low-end amd gpu.

            It's a generic driver using "shims" to translate to whatever it's needed.

            It's not a Mesa driver, but it makes use of Linux interfaces just the same.

            Fyi, when something is not built specifically for Linux, it doesn't mean it's a Windows piece of software.
