      Wow, that was unusually fast. Perhaps, nowadays some NVIDIA engineer runs the vanilla kernel because I can't find any other explanation for this unexpected 4.20-rc kernel fix. In the past it took NVIDIA up to two months to fix new kernels compatibility issues.

        Installed 4.20rc6 and 415.23 last night, no problems, with dkms even. And it seems to perform better too, based on https://openbenchmarking.org/result/...SKEE-181207883
