    occasional flickering is an understatement.
    390.25 caused big problems for many nvidia users.

      For me it was more like constant flickering that I had to downgrade.

            I use Archlinux KDE. How to solve tearing problem in KDE?----> /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf -----> add ( Option "TripleBuffer" "On" ) in file and save it.

              It's unfortunate, but they didn't actually fix anything. This was more of an attempt at a fix that didn't work.
