      A wild guess would be GPU Micro (its symbol looks like a u so the letter u is usually used in these cases, see here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro- ) Code

          Good luck with shoving things into the firmware. HW Vendors already have screwed up multiple things by hiding them in firmware. Intel is the latest to the party.

          Recently, to get a f***ing cheap device (Realtek USB Card Reader) to stop messing the machine, I had to unsolder the electronics itself. Why ? Because latest USBs talk xhci, and most of the devices were on the same USB bus, effectively messing up all device operations.

          It is interesting how Linux has now transitioned into a firmware dumping pile of crap. It'll now be much easier to mark device driver bugs as hardware bugs. Only the ones with their Windows copy still running in Dual boot will be able to self-verify that it ain't a hardware bug.
