    what about proper vulkan support on haswell? I havent seen an update on that

      haswell is likely obsolete in terms of intel development... they seem to target latest generations (often these unreleased)

          There's been no blog post or similar about it, but if you follow the mesa-dev mailing list, there's a steady stream of Vulkan patches often with gen7/7.5 in the title. So stuff is happening.

                Wat? They are still enabling opengl stuff to all graphics from Ivybridge and up, ok that Ivy isn't going to see Vulkan, but "they target latest generations" is a bit excessive.

                  release window for kabylake is coming soon, they might be adding support for that, for targeting 4.9
