    For some reason Ubuntu force disabling opencl in mesa, while it's enabled in Debian packages. See this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...a/+bug/1319835

      Michael your OpenCL 2.0 link from the old article seems to be removed. The new branch sits at http://cgit.freedesktop.org/beignet/log/?h=OCL20.

        We really need OpenCL 2.0 on both AMD & Intel. The proprietary CUDA is being adopted at an alarming rate locking everyone into one single vendor.
