Ah! Thanks for the link, and especially the short apitrace! It looks like it works on Ivybridge at least - my guess is this bug only affects Gen4 and maybe Gen5. Hopefully I can take a look soon, though I won't have access to a GM45 for a few days.

Michael, I noticed that PTS still uses vdrift-2010-06-30. That's about two years out of date, and the 2010 version has a bug that makes it render mostly white on i965, so it isn't too useful. Would it be possible to update it to the 2012 release?

Hey, Windows licenses aren't free, and you still need to install it (which takes some time).

@Michael would be cool if you could include some screen shots. I've been testing Mesa recently and the i965 driver has been producing some beautiful garbage on the screen.
