  • any ubuntu oneric intel sna ppa's that doesn't break unity?

    Hi

Found https://launchpad.net/~sarvatt/+archive/intel-sna (which also implies https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa), which has a warning about breaking unity due to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ty/+bug/860707.

Anyone know of any alternate SNA enabled ppa's? I used a SNA driver on the last ubuntu release and my temps were 5-10c lower on light usage. And I strongly suspect it's related. (note that I used the same kernel on my last ubuntu release).

nevermind the temperature issue, that was due to nouveau. I needed to put rdblacklist=nouveau nouveau.modeset=0 in GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT to get the system cold and stable.

The blacklist is useless when you don't use nv binary drivers as nouveau gets loaded when X starts.
