I want to buy a new laptop and most certainly that laptop will have a Core i7 2630QM (graphic card Intel HD3000) and I would like to know how is the performance of this graphic card on Linux. I'm opening this topic because I've read bad things about Sandy Bridge on Linux but I can't find an opinion of someone that has a laptop like this. I know that the graphic card is not very powerful but is it able to do the basic stuff like KWin effects without any problems? And for not powerful games?
