Right after the event Nokia's shares have been going down ever since.
Each day starting at a new record low. Before the event it was about 11.70$
    Day 1: about 10$
    Day 2: about 9$
    Day 3: about 8$
What a flop, no matter how much Nokia fears Android & Google the investors and customers would certainly like it a lot better than WP7 & MS. Nokia had to choose a partner and it chose the worst one.

As for Intel, we'll let our code speak for itself.
Way to go Intel, and please keep funding the Trolls in case Microkia shuts the tap.

Yay for C#?.. What about, you know, diversity? Everyone should find the language they feel comfortable with, not follow a trend that makes development a pain for the developers themselves. Besides, nowadays Android is more popular and I don't see that changing very soon, so Java will stay just as popular at least for a while.

why should anyone care what he says in his blog? Because he created laughable, slow and incompatible copy of copy of Java, with even more laughable wannabe Eclipse on top of it.

Generally i never find myself agreeing with RMS but the hell is Miguel doing. Mono i understood. Liking the idea of Windows market share growing puts his solidly in the MS camp imo

He actually has some humor. Laughed at his pic of Angry Birds on the Blackberry

Oh, and the guy should come out already. Mr Microsoft Dude, we know who you are.

Can someone please explain why portability is considered a bad thing now?

We *finally* have a language that runs on all handsets and desktops. It's a first, it rocks and it's somehow considered... a bad thing?

In other words, what the hell are you smoking?

Java was doing that for years.

Not portable enough: it doesn't run on iOS. Besides, Oracle is ten times worse than Microsoft.

                    Coffee.
                    Sound fun.

No, it didn't. It's just a language. We're talking about the GUI and other APIs here. For example, a Java application you wrote for a non-Android device will not run on Android, because there you have to use the Android API.
