Phoronix: Intel Enables Xe2 Lunar Lake & Battlemage Graphics By Default With Linux 6.12

It's happening! The upcoming Linux 6.12 kernel cycle will be enabling the Xe2 graphics in Lunar Lake and Battlemage out-of-the-box / by-default. Pretty important that they hit this release since it will be the next LTS which ends up being the default kernel in several distros and is also a popular "roll your own" kernel target. Good job Intel 👍.

Has anyone done any benchmarks against i915 and xe for Tiger Lake to Meteor Lake HW? I was just curious if there will ever be a point to use the new driver for first gen xe HW (tiger lake to arrow lake).

It's funny that Lunar Lake will beat Arrow Lake to market when Lunar is the newer part with xe2.
