Is this like a higher end version of Microsoft Visio? I'm not sure I understand what the product is for?

It may help if you look at the website and read the description: https://www.ospray.org/ospray_studio/

MS Visio is something completely different (2D diagrams, not 3D meshes or volumes)

Long time listener, first time caller. Thanks Michael for picking up and mentioning all our releases, we really appreciate it.

I'm the lead developer on Intel OSPRay Studio and happy to answer any questions you might have.

OSPRay Studio is a UI application built on top of the OSPRay path-tracing renderer that is a component of the Intel oneAPI Rendering Toolkit.

The main function of OSPRay Studio is that of being an easy-to-use application for rapid look-development for photorealistic scenes. It does so by importing 3D models and materials in OBJ/MTL and glTF file formats.

BubbaTX rudycazabon , fantastic work on this project! I haven't used it for anything serious -- I'm just impressed by your accomplishments.

I look forward to trying it with a DG2 graphics card, whenever I can get a hold of one.

Thank you. In this current release, it is a CPU renderer, and as such will run on a wide variety of systems - from laptops to clusters. Future releases will support GPU acceleration.
