    Greenhorn questions: a) is OpenCL 3.0 a decent competitor to CUDA and b) is it supported on GCN cards (in my case a Radeon VII), c) is it supported by Nvidia ie will generic code target it instead of CUDA?

      Yeah, understandable that they can easily add support for all these chips. It's not like their hardware has changed much since those generations.
