Probably not since "modern" platforms are full of unverifiable closed blobs and arcane features (Intel ME/AMT, AMD PSP, x86 SMM and so on)

It's a driver that exposes the information to user-space applications. If you don't want to use it, don't run the user-space apps or blacklist the driver.

That's why it would be great to finally get POWER architecture support up to scratch so that we switch to Raptor machines without downsides
