I just have to say that that comment really mimics a lot posts in KDE/Plasma threads. Just funny how, regardless of our desktop of choice, there's always that interchangeable usage of the Shell and the Environment names that cause some sort of conflict during discussions.

Britoid Wow. Ubuntu’s Geary is picked from Debian. You just claimed Debian’s is not secure. Millions of users disagree with you.

But hey Geary is now getting updated to latest version in Debian. Work sponsered by Ubuntu developers.

Geary is/was not GNOME. Software is maintained at 3.30 with minor releases and backports. Ubuntu also work on the upstream.
The title says "GNOME", not "GNOME Shell", so his post is relevant.

Number of developers behind it are irrelevant, Ubuntu sucks, that's a fact.

starshipeleven Numbers of developers is the most relevant thing. Hate like yours doesn’t write or test code.

Number of developers is just a factor of how much money someone sinks into the project. Does not guarantee good results.

Mindless fanboying on forums like yours does not write or test code either.

starshipeleven The ubuntu developers’ work is fully documented on gitlab and discourse

Please keep your hate to a minimum. It’s bad for the Linux Community.
