    It won't happen, the Gen architecture pre-Broadwell is too different and has already been explicitly stated they won't add pre-Gen8 support.

    It would be great if the driver would support Haswell and maybe sometime some dev has some free time to devote on this and adds this support. I would really appreciate that.
    However this might just stay a dream for a long time (or forever).

    I don't know these technical issues in detail, but since they are open to accepting patches in their code you could make an addition proposal, especially since there is a version made specifically for benchmarks
    (I speak from user totally unrelated to blender team)

    it would be nice to see how the machines perform on the new eevee realtime rendering engine
