    It's DRM and DRM restricts you in some way, that's hampering to me.
    And there's some performance loss and wasted electrical energy because of encryption.
    Besides, why would I need to encrypt the connection between my PC and my TV?
    They are both in my house with 1-2 meters between them.
    HDCP seems to me like forcing someone who lives in a really remote area to use a password-protected WIFI.
    Just because greedy companies assume that we are all criminals and they like to say GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT.
    I think that a lot of anti-freedom "features" started as optional and are now required.
