  • DRI deadlock on dual head setup

    Hi,

I'm trying to setup the ati drive in Ubuntu Hardy, and keep running into the same issue.
In clone mode, everything works fine, I get direct rendering, and compiz running. But as soon as I try and setup the dual head display, fglrx has issues loading as fglrx(0) is conflicting with fglrx(1) in a deadlock. As a result, anything related (glxinfo, glxgears, fglrxinfo, the screen saver), hangs upon starting.

I've already tried removing the Ubuntu supplied binaries and installing it myself from the latest version (8.476), and get exactly the same result.

Below is my xorg.conf file (setup with aticonfig --initial=dual-head), and Xorg.0.log showing the DRI locking deadlock (that log just keeps going without end with the deadlock, long after I load X, so I've cut it short).

    Thanks for your help.
