    Thanks AMD. But I have already thanked them another way
    I wish Intel good luck, but I'm not sure whether it will help as long as they use toothpaste in their heaters.

              The CPUs for this new socket are pretty expensive. I assume they will be soldered and won't need delidding, same as the CPUs for LGA2011 socket previously.

                  Finnaly we are switching from MHz to Cores - 18 MHz 386 and now 18 cores CPUs... Blah even price was/is similar, just times flies

                    Even the performance perceived by the end-user will be the same, once you factor in the crappy microsoft OS they'll be likely to run...
